"The Oulough"--at Cast of Wonders

This is a story about complicated families, hope, and an improbable creature. It's narrated by the wonderful Julia Rios! I'm so happy it's finally out, and I can share it with people.

"The Oulough"

I will have to draw you all an oulough...

If only I had Copic pens to draw it with (they're what's used in the story to draw it). Little Springtime has some, but I do not! But I can create something... maybe I'll use oil pastels.

That is a great story! Really makes me think about how important words (that are said, and unsaid) can be.

Great story! Looking forward to your drawing. (I had to google what a Copic pen was, but maybe I'm just in the wrong circles...)

Nah, you're in fine circles; lots of people won't know, but it's okay. Hopefully it's clear that they're special to the narrator, and expensive--I could have made up a brand, but I used the real thing because when I was writing it, I was giving a pen a month to Little Springtime as a present. Thanks for reading!
