No hunting, fishing, trapping
No trespassing for any purpose
No hiking, ambling, or wandering
No mushroom or wildflower gathering
No standing in the filtered light
Clothed in its gauzy shafts
No lingering
No dropping down right here
Onto the starry moss
Alone or with your lover in your arms
And gazing up at the embroidered sky

Oh, so that's what all those notices are! And the poem is just exactly right!

Oh the quality of light in the photo!

Perfect for that poem.

Is the poem yours?

I love where it goes.

Yes--I'd give credit if it were someone else's. Glad you like it.

I knew it was yours - I sense your scrupulous attention to crediting people. It's perfectly lovely. I'm reminded of some other poet whose name I can't recall. It doesn't matter. I can read you. :)

That is lovely.

I wish the notices in our local woods were more like your poem - I wouldn't mind coming across them then.

What I wish is for this country to have something like you have in the UK, where travelers have a right of way, so long as they don't trample and wreck things.

I love the poem. Perhaps you should organise a mass trespass?.

What an excellent concept! Here it's a bit dangerous, as people protect their property with guns -_-

Still, when I was a teenager, my friends and I would wander in posted woods, justifying it by telling ourselves that the signs forbade trespassing "for these and any other purpose," but we were purposeless, so it was okay.

Since I've loved your poems from the very first time I laid eyes on them, your saying this makes me *very* happy.

Posted signs are so mean spirited.**

**I do know that sometimes they're to protect the landowner from people getting hurt on their property etc. etc. etc., and sometimes you get jerks who make trouble (and endanger people) in their trespassing, but a little harmless walking shouldn't be a problem.
