Perfect--now we have the old couples together with the children. Plus, the scattering blossoms goes well with the passing of youth...

this one may not be a Haiku...

Like scattered prayers
Each striving to reach the Almighty
Each scattered petal
Sings a song of past beauty
Beauty may be fleeting
But the fragrance lingers
The song remains
Though there are not singers.

(Using KM's laptop in a rush before he leaves...my laptop is down....so verse-on-the-spot.)

The first line, and the last two, making a couplet, I especially love. Blossoms as prayer, and the song remaining although the singers are gone...

Not the poet, but really REALLY enjoyed this. Hmmmm...Makes me wonder if there are some photos I have that could inspire some nice poetry.
