"Keep Tryin'"

Just keeping up, and this is the weekend! And I didn't do laundry... But it is very fun to write this much! "Keep Tryin'"is the perfect theme song for NaNo--I suggest everyone listen to it! You can hear it on YouTube, here.

I am scared of and fascinated by Majestico.* Do other people get scared of their own characters? I bet yes :-)

*That's Majestico, with a J. Would you believe I misspelled it when I created the title? I spelled it with a G. I think I was thinking of "Magic" and "Mage"--but for "Majestic" you need a J "Majestic" + "o" = "Majestico."

Why are you scared of Majestico? Apologies if you've explained him/her. And yes, several of my characters have scared me. Sometimes I wonder where they come from, and what they say about the state of my head.

Because he's both appealing and threatening, in an understated way. He's made a deal with the devil to have the gift of a persuasive tongue, so he pretty much gets what he wants, all the time, and pursues what he wants pretty singlemindedly.

I definitely wonder what my characters say about the state of my head!

Good work on that there word count. It's been a very busy weekend so far and I have had the chance to write since Friday. I've been doing editting at work, well I guess it's not editting so much as it is planning work. And if it means anything Majestico kind creeps me out too.

Good! He's meant to creep you out. Threatening and appealing at the same time. ("Yeah... I'm not getting the appealing, though," says Heyes.--But just wait! Hopefully that will come in the rest of the story...)

Hey, it's your story....you can spell it Magistico or Magiceesto or Majestico or whatever the heck you want!

I know--that's what's so silly! It's like the story I heard about Tolkien being interviewed about his languages. They asked him to speak in one of his Elvish languages, and he said something and then said, "Oh wait! I got that wrong... it should be XXX"!

(Haha...just compared myself to Tolkien! **blush**)

Hey, you're doing great! You're ahead of me...

Majestico sounds cool. And yes, of course I get scared of my characters!

well....it can't be said, I suppose, that my english
is SO bad - but I need to poorly admit that I often
happen not to understand you...more than that (and
I think this is the real reason for) I am still
wondering WHAT A KIND of job is yours?!?...LOL!

Oh よるかもめ you make me want to write an entry that's clear and beautiful as your beautiful manuscripts! Yes, my entries are sometimes pretty confusing--please do ride along with them, anyway, and after a while I think you'll understand some of them :-) I like your company!

My job, yes, my job is one that I'm always avoiding! It's to edit nonfiction prose. Although I take pleasure in straightening out tangled sentences, the work can be boring, so, my pleasure is to write this blog, to write stories (like the story of Majestico), and to write poems! Then, too, I have a large family, and part of my job (but a pleasant part) is to take care of them all :-)

Yes! That song is perfect fot NaNoWriMo! I like at the end, where it says "otoo-san, keep trying, okaa-san, keep trying." It seems nice. ^.^

None of my characters scare me so far, not for my NaNo sotry, at least... Still, I sense I'm going to have some characters I'll really hate, considering the fact that there will be the good pirates, and the bad ones.

Keep tryin'!
