typo du jour

So, as October continues to be the Month from Hell on the work front (or, if I were of a more cheerful disposition--if I had the disposition I'd like to have--I'd say, "since October continues to bless me with an abundance of freelance work"), I am spending hours commenting on the interesting discussion on sartorias's blog about kids' lit doing some weekend editing.

Two funny typos in what I'm working on:

"Onion" for "Opinion" (person just failed to type the "pin" part) As in "How to people form onions regarding the United States?")

and "imminent" for "eminent"

(as in "One way people form onions opinions regarding the United States is by observing the actions of imminent Americans.")

Ones I tend to mess up are "principle" and "principal" (now that I know I do this, I always check to see if I'm using the right one) and "allude" and "elude."

Tonight I'm going to make dream_wind's garlic soup!

Sometimes I like to form onions regarding the United States
instead of opinions.

Hope the girls were okay in the morning. Sorry it was such a late night for them (and probably you).

They had a great time! Sylvia really enjoyed telling stories to Shoshana, and both girls were super impressed when Shoshana helped Naomi go back to sleep by singing her a song in Hebrew!
