shadow hollyhocks

Driving someone somewhere this morning, I looked to the left, and I saw a dancing green--you know, where otherworldly folk gather under the stars and dance?

I haven't noticed one in years, and there it was. I want to go back at night.

It will be very hot these next few days. The last time I recall it being so hot on a Wednesday (it's only Monday today, but it will be hot on Wednesday, so the prognosticators say), we drove to Salisbury beach to camp and forgot our sleeping bags... but it was okay, because it was so hot, it was better to just sleep on towels!

Shadow hollyhocks are blooming. Dragonflies seem to like them.

The woods are in lateday.

Rabbits are back to eating my soybeans. C'est la farming vie, I guess.

This can't be a long entry. There are eggs to boil.

Darn rabid rabbits! I can't properly hate rabbits, I admit it, but that has got to be irrirating.

I can't hate them either. They're so cute! I wish they wouldn't eat the soybeans, but I do love their eyes and ears and the way they hop.
