rainy road

It rained so hard, the road turned into a little river....

In the woods, there was a mushroom that looked exactly like a pancake. Behold:

I am not going to try eating it, however. Not unless I can identify it. Not even then: this one's already been nibbled at, it seems.

Yesterday I wrote about the field bindweed. It really seemed happy in the bowl on the table. It seemed so well established, I thought I'd try planting it in my yard. I did that right before it rained--which means it got a good soaking after being planted, which I hope helps it...

Here it is in the bowl...

Last night I wrote for an hour on my story. I got about halfway through the librarian's assistant telling the story of how come the nightfolk and the dayfolk fell out with each other. If I can just get this chapter finished (it's chapter 4), then I can send amberdine chapter 3. Amberdine, you're going to have a hard time remembering plot at this snail's pace I move at!

Tonight, though, I probably won't be working on it. I have an appointment with (1) an iron and (2) a pickle recipe. Maybe tomorrow, though. I hope. I'll try.

What's the story about?

It's a fantasy story set mainly in a world where different places are perpetually different times of day and night. It's about getting that world back in balance. The protagonist is a girl from our world.

FInally! Rain! I've been getting so jealous of you northerners and your warm weather!

And, A BUNNYKINS bowl!!! I love it! We have three. Mum would put the porridge on top and you would not know which one you had until you had eaten it all.

It's a lovely bowl, one of my favorites! Wish we had three--or six! We do have two Bunnykins mugs to go along with it, though, and one plate. Presents from the English side of the family :-)

How do you make little hearts appear at the end of an entry? I'd love to do that.

We have no mugs or plates, but one egg cup!

You do this (with no spaces):

& hearts ;

I learnt from frock recently and have been sending everyone love!

The summer has wound up in your part of the world I imagine!! What a lovely description and pretty, pretty pictures. I love your "Bindweed Crown". Reminds me of some stuff we used to do at school. Celebrating a "May feast" for Mother Mary! Her idol used to be adorned with a crown of lovely white flowers (Mayflowers??... I don't know)... your crown reminded me of exactly that! I also remember we used to sing a hymn called "Ave Maria"....the tune still rings clear in my brain.. the words are rather sketchy though!

"Bunnykins", that crockery seems like some kind of special stuff. I have seen such prints on crockery here but never realised they were special. Would love to know more!!!

I think they're just popular because they're sweet and have fun patterns--I'll have to ask joybon if they're special in any other way, but probably that's all there is to it.

How desperate is it to get teary eyed when viewing pictures of rain on a friend's journal?

(And no, I actually don't forget stories...er, except my own. No idea why.)

Over the past week I have several times thought, "I'm going to have to email asakiyume and ask where the next chapter is. If that doesn't work I'll resort to public LJ tagging shame!

So I best see some email soon. :)

Hmm I wonder if that mushroom was good or not. I have fungus on a tree and I wonder about tree fungi cause I do like those tree-ears in Chinese food.
