sleepy post

Going to sleep now, but just wanted to note that

(1) I did make those pancakes with cattail pollen. You could just about taste the pollen--just about--and that extra taste was pleasant, though not remarkable. But not nasty, at least!
(2) New Jersey tea is blooming now, and it prompted me to make tea from the leaves and flowers of it that I hung up to dry last year. That tea at first tasted dusty (surprise surprise) but then nice.
(3) I wrote for a half hour on my story just now. I've decided (if I can remember to) to mark down when I write. Then maybe I can work up some momentum. The queen and her brother are arguing about who's treacherous. He's going to end up having to accompany the main characters to the nightlands.

Oof, can't keep eyes open, so I won't be making paper tonight.

Here's a Google picture of New Jersey tea:

fun word counting tool (it assumes you have a word count goal)

Where's the tool? I saw a cool bar, which showed percent accomplished toward goal, on jmeadows's page, but since I don't have a target goal, I can't use it. But she said that to get one I could just click on it, so if I ever do manage to estimate how long this will be, then I might try!

I wondered how those pancakes turned out. I admire the fact that you even know how to gather pollen for pancakes!! I would promptly kill myself if I tried to gather wild foods to eat.

Isn't local bee pollen good for allergies and immune system and such? I have some bee pollen my dad gave me from Vietnam when he went not too long ago, but I think for it to be effective it needs to be local. Cattail pollen has a nice sound, heh, I like that. I like cattails.
