This morning

This morning it's a planet full of atmospheres. Birds are rising and falling in the long grass and others are declaiming from high up in the trees, and some are swimming in the gauzy sky.

I love the second shot, even if it doesn't have as much sky.

I would like to swim through foggy flowers.

Me too--and in our dreams we can, so we know what it would feel like...

I love your pictures, be they of slugs or skies. They help me remember to watch for the overlooked spaces where magic happens.

I have a feeling that you do that anyway ♥ But it's great to be acquainted so we can show each other things the other one doesn't have a chance to see.

I try to. Sometimes I forget, until something catches my eye and reminds me.

Speaking of forgetting. I took this picture on the train a couple of months ago, back when you were collecting photos of light, and just now uncovered it again when I was backing up my phone. I loved how the morning sunrise turned the girl's hair into spun gold.

Oh that's wonderful! She can fill her house all evening and night with the light she's stored there!

That's so beautiful. There's something about a high-summer meadow with a misty sky.

I love summer; I love-love-love that it unfailingly comes to visit each year.

That is so beautiful - not the sky, but that wonderful wildflower meadow! Lovely to contemplate - thank you.:)

As I was saying to roseneko, I love that we can show each other things that the other one wouldn't get a chance to see. Just this morning I was checking on some ginger I put in the ground to see if it had sprouted--as I looked, I was thinking of you and the market in Hanoi, thinking of how *real* that is for me, and it's thanks to being friends with you. And I was feeling big gratitude.

It certainly looks like a nice sky for swimming in. By my office, the welcome swallows like to swim laps over the grass (and sometimes the pond), but they can be a bit erratic at times. No lane ropes for them!

Swallows follow--dare I say it?--Australian-rules competitive swim :-) (and that's regardless of whether or not they're actually Australian swallows... or laden with a coconut or not)
