Speaking of being blown away... That first especially grips me, with all those layers receding from view. So beautiful!
Yeah, that first is like doorways.

Great photos, I think we are going to have a little warm-up today. Can't wait to get out of the house!
It's warmer here, now, too, but first thing in the morning it was chilly.
You've captured the frost and ice so nicely. I imagine walking on those frosty leaves and the sheet of ice in the forest. CRRRunch, CRRRunch Crrunch. The photos bring back happy memories of my 2 years in the East Coast. Thanks for sharing.

My pleasure--glad to awaken pleasant memories!
Wow...Mr. Frost has started making his home already, huh! We have an amazing 65F today. I hope it remains warmer for a few more days.
It will probably get warmer again here too--the weather is quite bipolar!
I guess it is bipolar indeed, esp after the warmest weekend we had here. :)

The first of those is extraordinary.
It makes me want to go *in* there.
Oh so beautiful, all of them.
It's been too warm here for ice and frost. I actually look forward to that each year, the first ice, the first deep frost and snow. It all makes me happy.
When the first snow falls, I used to think that Beethoven piece "Fur Elise" (if you played piano as a kid you know the piece, but I didn't play the piano as a kid and didn't know the name until I was older...)
What magical pictures! The top one looks like a wonderfully mysterious entryway...
I thought so too--an entranceway or portal.
oh! you have winter! how lovely ICE! i love the first photo.
Thanks! This morning's taste of winter was delicious.
You've already got ice?? I'm jealous. And that first picture really is magical.
Only in the morning--it melted by 10. I bet you'll have a colder, fiercer winter out there on the plains, once winter hits you.
Yeah--those frost-bedecked oak leaves *were* magical.

Oh, I love that first picture! I'd tell you what adventures awaited me, today, but somehow I think you already know...
Yep! Shared adventures FTW!

Mmm, love this.
You really ought to publish a book or several of all your poetic photos and poetic comments on them. Each photo would win a photo contest. You are better than Ansel Adams. And you seem to have a new one every day or two or three. Lucky me to get to see and read them. p.s. if you have already published the book, please let me know the name of it.
That's a wonderful, wonderful compliment, and I'm touched and flattered by your words. I'm really happy that you enjoy the photos.
I think, though, that if you look around the wide Internet, you'll find lots of people with really very gorgeous photos. A number of people on my friends list, for instance, take breathtaking photos, and a few of them are professionals. I basically just point the camera at pretty or unusual things and take a shot :-)
Feel free to download any images you like--of course, if you ended up using them for anything other than your own pleasure, I'd love credit--but basically they're just here for anyone to enjoy.
