Thanks to sartorias, I have some wonderful ideas for how to improve this story. Now if I can just live through my hours of work, and try to *concentrate* on that work, and not on what I'm going to do to the story's most unpleasant character or how I'm going to improve the fortunes of the POV character, I'll be all set.
Thanks again, sartorias!I feel...: jubilant I hear...: Emily Smith: May Colven

Love your Rani Lakshmi Bai icon!!All the best with the story!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I love her because she is a warrior queen! Glad you like her too. There's a character in the story who is something like her, and although the story is set in a fantasy world, I had in mind a generalized Indian/Kashmir setting in terms of geography (not culture!)
Oooooh WoW!! I am SO looking forward to read the story now!!! **curiously blinks eyelids in anticipation**
Damn it, I haven't got a chance to read it yet.
It's just that I've been working on some of my own writing stuff, and I don't want to get things muddled. I'll get to it soon, I promise.
Okay--big misunderstanding here. This entry is about a short story I'm writing, called "The Oracle." What you have is a novel, The Noon and Midnight Lands. Don't worry about that--you can read it whenever (or not at all; that's fine too).

Ha, Ha, when I was writing my book characters DEMANDED attention whenever they wanted it....whether I had time or not! I finally started keeping a pad and pen with me wherever I went....saved having to write on paper napkins in restaurants.
Yes, they can be realer than real, so much so that it's hard to notice things around you, sometimes.

I would find it difficult to get a different point of view I think...maybe I will make an awful story-writer, so I am glad you are around :)
Wanted to say I love your userpic but realize I am in a queue!
The changes aren't that major, and this is a story I wrote specifically with this project in mind, so I'm happy to change it to make it work better for the project.
I'm glad you like the icon; I like her too, very much!
CONCENTRATE...CONCENTRATE...CONCENTRATE.*makes hypnotizing gestures with hands*
Good Luck on the story
