deeper doo doo?
I think that one is more of a highway in the same direction!
Now, what are the other options? These roads seem to kind of suck.
(*BIG SIGH* at the saying, too...)
footpath to serenity?
escalator to ennui?
motorway to madness?
trampoline to delight?
To that special circle of {Firefly} hell.... where the people who talk during movies go.
Probably McDonald's. I always wind up there after I've done something evil.

Faerie?
Confessional.
Or the shrink.

so many comments! ~you must be overwhelmed?! I'll answer though since you answered mine: the road goes nowhere, you are already in hell then.
that's a quote I pondered for a long time btw. still do.
At the moment, my bad intentions involve a can of whipped cream and a cabana boy. Does that count?
Wow, this is all so confusing! Bad intentions can take you so many places. At least if you have good intentions, you know. more cat pictures
Maybe the people who carry you to hell in a handbasket are the ones with bad intentions.
Good intentions pave more roads than the road to hell (because we are not very wise, despite our best efforts); bad intentions may occasionally pave a road to heaven (because God turns all to good).
That saying has always conflicted me. I like it in some contexts, but I first heard it in a very bad context from a very bad person. As a child (about 7? 8?) I took it to mean not that good intentions could be led astray, but that good intentions were a cross to bear - that when you did the right thing, it hurt you.
But you did it anyway.
